Spy Camera—Click and Catch

The use of a spy camera involves an individual or individuals being intentionally photographed, usually without their knowledge of the act. Spy cameras are frequently used to catch someone in the act of wrongdoing. This form of photography was originally used by professional investigators. Now, this technology can be used by anyone. A spy camera may be just the thing to catch that person you do not trust stealing from you, or possibly even harming your loved ones.
What is a Spy Camera Used for?
A spy camera can be used for many different situations, not simply just to catch someone breaking the law. Some of these situations are questionable, and perhaps a bit crooked in their motives, but are genuine situations, nonetheless.

Journalistic Integrity—Investigative journalism uses spy cameras for human-interest stories. For example, one might place a spy camera in a fast-food restaurant to see what really happens to our food before it is served to us.

Spy on a Celebrity—Celebrity paparazzi use spy cameras to catch celebrities in illicit acts, or to simply spy on their everyday routines. These people then sell their footage for a lot of money to tabloids.

Research Purposes—Academic researchers, psychologists, sociologists, etc., may use spy cameras to research their subjects.

Illegal Reasons—Some dishonest people use spy cameras for voyeuristic purposes.

Red-Light Runners— Spy cameras are currently being used at intersections with traffic lights to catch people who speed through red lights. The camera snaps a picture of the driver at fault. Then, in a couple of weeks, the driver receives a ticket and the photograph of the illegal act.

Surveillance—Spy cameras are used in public area, such as parking lots, to protect the public.

Vigilantes—There are many vigilantes out there who believe that spy cameras can help them catch thieves and other criminals.

For Fun!— Many cell phones feature hidden spy cameras as one of their main features. Most people just use the camera to take pictures of their friends. This new technology allows people to take photos any time they choose.

Security—Many people want to install a spy camera inside their homes to make sure that the people who work for them, such as housekeepers and babysitters, are being honest and careful.

What Will the Neighbors Think?
When some people think of installing a spy camera inside their homes, they get a little nervous. Some think about what would happen if anyone found out about their secret spy camera? Would others think that they are strange or creepy? After all the word “spy” does have a negative connotation. Well, you should not worry about that at all. A spy camera is not a devious device to hide in your house. In fact, it is a good idea to install a spy camera simply for surveillance reasons.

Also, most companies that sell spy cameras realize that this is a legitimate concern, and will not share your information with anyone. They promise to respect your privacy.

Where Can I Buy a Spy Camera?
There are many manufactures of spy cameras. Connect to the Internet and conduct a search for “spy camera.” You will be surprised at how many companies offer these little devices. One web site that might be helpful is Spy Camera Specialists, Inc. (SCS) at www.spycameras.com. They have hundreds of options to choose from, including outdoor and indoor spy cameras.

The spy camera businesses booming! If you were ever suspicious of a housekeeper, roommate, or anyone else that comes in and out of your home, a spy camera is just the thing to put your mid at ease, or catch a someone in the act.
